In order to work safely on construction sites in the UK a CSCS card is often required to show proof of your qualifications and experience. To obtain a CSCS Green Labourer Card you must complete the CITB Health, Safety and Environment touch screen test (known commonly as the CITB touch screen test). This test takes 45 minutes, is multiple choice and must be completed in person at a local test centre. Bookings can be made at over 150 test centres nationwide using this service. To obtain your CSCS card, you need to pay a total fee of £58.50. This includes the cost of your card (£36) and the CITB test (£22.50). However, note that this fee does not cover any additional qualifications that you may need to obtain your specific CSCS card.
In order to obtain a Green CSCS Labourer Card, it is mandatory to complete the CITB Health and Safety Awareness Training Course. This course also requires passing the CITB Health, Safety and Environment Test, which is also known as the CSCS test.
This card is valid for 5 years. To apply, you must pass the appropriate CITB Operatives or Specialists Health, Safety and Environment Test based on your occupation.
